Norfolk & Suffolk Aviation Museum

East Anglia's aviation heritage centre has over 60 aircraft, military and civil, dating from 1918 to the present, plus 25,000 smaller exhibits displayed in two hangars and nine themed buildings. RAF bomber and coastal commands, air-sea rescue, royal observer corps, and 446th Bomb Group USAAF are featured, plus aviation in the eastern counties. Smaller exhibitions include Boulton and Paul, Aero Engines, WWII Decoy Crews, WWII aircraft wreckology, aircraft models, cameras, radio, radar, electronic countermeasures and working link trainers.

Take the B1062 from the A143, Homersfield Road junction. It is then 2 miles to Flixton.

Parking : free

Nearest station : 10 miles (16.1 kms) from Beccles station

With 2 hangers & 7 buildings open to the public (normally) it is the ideal location for wet days. Allow a minimum of 2 hours for a visit. Ramps to all areas and a raised broadwalk to the River Waveney.
