RSPB Berney Marshes & Breydon Water

Berney Marshes alongside the Breydon Water estuary in Great Yarmouth is a wonderfully unspoilt RSPB nature reserve offering peaceful walks in a traditional Broadland landscape of grazing marshes and wide open skies.
In spring you can watch the displays of courting redshanks and lapwings. In winter you can see huge flocks of wigeon, lapwing and golden plover joined by avocets, godwits, teal, little egrets and a host of other water birds.
There is no access by car to Berney Marshes and Breydon Water. You can reach the reserve by train to Berney Arms Station (request stop) from Norwich or Great Yarmouth, or walk along the footpath from Great Yarmouth.
