Thornham
Overlooking the saltmarshes, Thornham is a pretty village of chalk, flint and brick. A popular smuggling centre in the 18/19th C. - contraband was hidden in the creeks for later collection. Today rock oysters are grown in these same waters. All Saints' Church has fine carved 15th C. bench ends.
