The park's fabulous and historic flint barn is part of the network of Broads Information Centres. Situated on the River Yare, it has information and displays about Whitlingham and the Broads. Enquiry service. Bookings for accommodation and Broads Authority boat trips. Books, maps, guides, postcards and gifts to buy. Short visit boat licenses. Cafecafe, telephone 07855 923786, www.cafecafe.biz is also housed in the barn.

Take a guided trip on the solar boat Ra to experience the watery wildlife at Whitlingham Country Park. Surrounded by green banks and woodlands, it's hard to believe how close you are to the city. Ra is fully accessible to wheelchair users.

By Road:
Take the A146 towards Norwich, turn right at the ring road, then turn right at the roundabout towards Trowse. Shortly afterwards turn left down Whitlingham Lane. Buses go from Norwich to Trowse, then there is a 25 minute walk along Whitlingham Lane to the park.
