Sandy
Set against a backdrop of low greensand hills, Sandy has long been a centre for market gardening and mixed agriculture. Excavations show the town dates back to Roman times. An Elizabethan-style mansion (The Lodge) is now the HQ of the RSPB (Royal Society for the Protection of Birds).
