MkIII Wheelyboat Trips at The Waterside RollesbyMkIII Wheelyboat Trips at The Waterside Rollesby

The Waterside's new boat 'Stuart's Dream' is a MkIII Wheelyboat, designed and developed by the Wheelyboat Trust, a small national charity dedicated to providing disabled people with access to waterborne activities.

At 17ft long it has a carrying capacity of eight people including wheelchairs (maximum load 1,000 kilos). We safely recommend no more than 4 wheelchairs on the boat at any one time as this comfortably allows space for up to 4 carers/companions for whom seats will be provided. With 'roll-on, roll off' access and a flat deck providing access to all corners of the boat, the boat has an accessible drive-from-wheelchair console allowing people in wheelchairs to drive the boat themselves. It is powered by a 2kw electric outboard.

Stuart's Dream will alllow people with both physical and learning disabilities to enjoy the Broads and will operate seven days a week.
