Chocolate Heaven

Chocolates are a great gift for Easter - but
how about some produced in the region?

Cooks of Swanton at Feltwell (nr. Brandon)
is a family business producing chocolates. 
Shop open Monday to Friday, 1000-1600.

Hadleigh Maid Chocolates in Hadleigh has
been making hand-made chocolates for more
than 30 years. Shop open Wednesday to Friday,
1000-1800. Saturday 1000-1500.
 

Lessiter's at Woolmer Green (nr. Stevenage) has
been creating a better class of chocolate since
1911. Shop open Monday to Saturday, 0900-1700.

Linden Lady Chocolates at Copford (nr. Colchester) 
makes their treats using only the best ingredients.

Discover the Easter Festival at King's College Chapel in Cambridge - from
Tuesday 30 March to Monday 5 April (various timings). A range of concerts,

(Saturday 3 April); and the Sung Eucharist with Procession (Sunday 4 April).

More musical treats with the Aldeburgh Easter
Music Festival
- from Friday 2 to Sunday 4 April
(various timings).
On Friday 2 April, join ‘The Sixteen' 
for a cappella programme celebrating English
sacred music; then on Saturday 3 April, 'Ensemble
Diderot' blend instrument and vocal chamber
music; Sunday 4 April sees the Britten-Pears
Orchestra playing Haydn and Beethoven.

Head to Santa Pod Raceway at Podington
(nr. Bedford) for the spectacular Easter Thunderball,
from Friday 2 to Monday 5 April (gates open at
0800).
A spectacular weekend of drag racing,
stunt displays and monster trucks.

Jump aboard a punt in the University city of
Cambridge for some Easter fun on the water.
Choose from the Children's Easter Bunny Hunt or the
Easter Challenge for adults - both running from
Friday 2 to Sunday 18 April (0900-1930). 

Travel back in time at Hedingham Castle in Castle
Hedingham (nr. Halstead) - with a Medieval Battle on
Sunday 4 and Monday 5 April (1000-1700). See
displays of hand-to-hand combat, plus battle
re-enactments and a living history camp. 

Visit the stunning gardens at Myddelton House
(nr. Enfield) - with a special E.A. Bowles Open Day
on Monday 5 April (1200-1600). Learn about how he
created the garden, with experts on hand.

Norwich is holding a French Market on Gentlemen's Walk - from Friday 2 to
Monday 5 April (Friday and Saturday, 0900-1700; Sunday and Monday,
1000-1630).
Over 30 stalls of authentic French produce.

Join Swampy at BeWILDerwood (nr. Hoveton/Wroxham) from Friday 2 to
Sunday 11 April (1000-1730)
. Dare you brave the wobbly walk for an Easter
treat? Take part in the spoon dash challenge and make Easter cards.

Turn back the clock at Kentwell Hall in Long Melford (nr. Sudbury), with their Easter
Re-creation of Tudor Life - running from Friday 2 to Monday 5 April (1100-1700).
See the estate come alive with displays of 16th C. life - Easter dishes being made
in the kitchen, Easter plays, pace-egging and an egg quiz.
