Guardians to the King - Terracotta Treasures from Ancient China, Colchester Castle Museum

What do do: Purchase a ticket from any participating National Express East Anglia station for inclusive train travel to Colchester, bus transfer and entry to the exhibition. Travel from London Liverpool Street station or pick up the train at Stratford or Shenfield. A City Sightseeing bus will take you from the station to the castle. Colchester Zoo

Adventure Island, Southend-on-Sea

Offer is available on the following dates: 4-6, 11-31 July; daily in August; 1-7, 13-14, 20-21, 27-28 September. Opens 1100, and closes between 2000 and 2200. On some days the park closes at 1800.

Punting in Cambridge

What do do: Travel by train to Whittlesford Parkway from any National Express East Anglia station. Call a taxi on arrival for the short journey to the museum. At the museum exchange the outward portion of your train ticket (which must be valid for the day of the visit) and two adults will be admitted for the price of one.
