Foodie Street
The High Street at Southwold in Suffolk has been shortlisted for The Best Foodie Street in Britain - as part of the Google Street View Awards. A mixture of fine dining and mouth-watering food shops, visitors can discover the historic Swan Hotel, Adnam's Cellar and Kitchen Store, Trinity's Cafe and Tearoom, plus good old-fashioned fish and chips at Mark's.

Sconefest
Celebrate the 'scone' with The National Trust. Sconefest runs from Saturday 20 to Sunday 28 March, with events at several proprieties in the East of England. Houghton Mill (nr. Huntingdon) in Cambridgeshire has a Scone Baking Day on Saturday 20 March (1100-1600) - see them made from the stoneground flour, and have-a-go yourself. The Chilterns Gateway Centre on the Dunstable Downs in Bedfordshire are holding a Alice in Wonderland Tea Party on Friday 26 and Saturday 27 March (1100-1500). Feast East
Put the date in your diary now for this year's Feast East - Friday 5 and Saturday 6 March. Held at Chilford Hall (nr. Linton) in Cambridgeshire - this is the region's food and drink festival with around 100 stands full of tempting delicacies. There are also cookery demonstrations and children's events. Culinary Masterclasses
Set on the Suffolk Heritage Coast, the Thorpeness Hotel and Golf Club
(nr. Aldeburgh) in Suffolk is to host a series of culinary masterclasses throughout 2010. Look out for the 'BBQ Master Class' (July); and 'Jams and Chutneys' (September). Held on the last Wednesday of each month, the day will start at 1030 - and includes a cookery demonstration from the Head Chef, workshop notes and recipes, plus a two course lunch with a glass of wine and coffee.
