New agreements will lead to ‘new and effective approach' to tourism says VEA
The new tourism body managed by experts and bringing a unified voice to East Anglia, has today announced two new partnerships that will lead a new and effective approach to tourism in the region.
Visit East Anglia, supported by some of the most successful tourism businesses in Norfolk and Suffolk, has announced a partnership with the new train operator for East Anglia, Greater Anglia Ltd, and with all of Suffolk's Councils to deliver tourism support across the whole of the county.

Suffolk's secret is out, says tourism boss (17 Jan 2012)
Tourism supremo and chairman of Visit East Anglia Richard Ellis has high hopes for the future of the industry in Suffolk and Norfolk. As well as running his own holiday cottage businesses, Suffolk Secrets and Norfolk Country Cottages, he was at the forefront of regional enterprise for many years as chairman of the now-defunct East of England Development Agency. He spoke to Sarah Chambers about the counties' holiday industry and his own part in it. From his vantage point high up in a converted water tower in Southwold, Richard Ellis can see a bright future for tourism in Suffolk and Norfolk.

A national tourism agency aiming to attract four million more visitors to the UK in the next four years is urging the people of Waveney to invite their loved ones from around the world to visit the area this year.

2012 a ‘golden once in a lifetime opportunity' for Suffolk say Tourism Chiefs (21 Dec 2011)
Tourism bosses in Suffolk have spoken of the real opportunities being laid before business in 2012 following the publication of the latest tourism statistics for the county.
Visitors to Suffolk increased their spending by over £2 a head in 2010 as despite the economic challenges for the economy, the ‘staycation' (people holidaying in the UK not going abroad) remained above pre recession levels.

Tourism sector urged to take part in EDP Larking Gowen survey (7 Dec 2011)
Gone is a chunk of public sector funding, and with it bodies such as East of England Tourism. From its ashes the private sector has stepped in and created Visit East Anglia - a specially created not-for-profit company which will aim to create a united and simplified voice for the industry.

New banking offer for tourism businesses gains unexpected interest (28 Nov 2011)
Tourism bosses gained more interest than they expected this week when they launched a partnership with a leading high street bank.
Members of Visit East Anglia are being offered the lowest rate on credit card transaction fees over any other area in the UK and, at the launch of the new product at Banham Zoo near Norwich, some residents of the 35 acre attraction got in on the act.

New tourism body launches ‘business focused' membership scheme (10 Nov 2011)
The new tourism body, managed by experts bringing a unified voice to East Anglia, has today launched its new membership programme.
Visit East Anglia, supported by some of the most successful tourism businesses in Norfolk and Suffolk, is introducing an all-inclusive programme which gives businesses a wide range of benefits to reduce operating costs as well as access to markets, both domestically and internationally.
