Duke of Bridgewater Monument at Ashridge Estate
The Estate covers more than 6 square miles in Hertfordshire and Buckinghamshire. We offer a range of self-guided walks, where you may be lucky enough to encounter our wild herd of fallow deer. Take a stroll through the woodland and marvel at the majestic oaks and towering beech trees. There is something new to experience throughout the year at Ashridge - carpets of bluebells in spring, beautiful orchids and butterflies in summer, strangely shaped fungi in autumn and frosty leaves to crunch through in winter.
A full programme of events take place throughout the year, including children's craft activities for Easter, Summer and Halloween, guided walks to see wildlife and our hugely popular Autumn Chilterns Countryside Festival to celebrate local produce and countryside activities.
Prices
It costs £1.80 for an adult and 90p for a child, and National Trust members are free.
