The gallery displays the artistic 20th century heritage of north west Essex featuring Edward Bawden, Eric Ravilious, Michael Rothenstein, John Aldridge, Michael Ayrton and others continuing to the present day, who have made a significant contribution to British art. Changing collections.
Free admission. Small charge for parties out of normal opening hours.

From the M11: After exit 10, follow signposts to Saffron Walden, and as approaching the town use signposted public car park and then walk to Castle Street. Entry to the gallery is via footpath to Bridge End Gardens. Castle Street is a turning off the town's High Street near the prominent Church. There are 4 public car parks within easy walking distance.
