The Visitor Centre is the place to come to buy tickets for events or horse riding licences.

The Visitor Centre is a purpose built ground floor building and is fully accessible. The Easy Access path just outside leads the visitor on an attractive loop through Epping Forest with some showcase ancient pollards and attractive views which will be enjoyed by wheelchair users, people with buggies or anyone who would prefer a hard surface and clear route for their walk.
Browse our selected giftware and traditional toys. We supply a choice of maps and guide books about the forest and related discounted books on wildlife and related topics. We’re doing our bit to recycle your old books, so browse our ‘Spread the Word Shelf’ or donate us your unwanted novels or other books to share with our visitors. Birds and squirrels enjoy tasty snacks at the bird feeder, so come and watch from the comfort of the Visitor Centre. We have plenty of different bird identification guides for sale, so start your bird watching expeditions here. Come and look at the natural history displays. Children and families in particular will enjoy our traditional display case of forest wildlife. See how many different birds, butterflies and mammals you can spot both in the case and around the building.
