Educational Visits at Gainsborough's House
Gainsborough's House is the birthplace of Thomas Gainsborough RA (1727-88). It provides a lively schools' education and outreach programme that meets the learning needs of each group. Visits can be tailored to cater for Key Stage 1 pupils to A-Level students - and is also useful for students in further and higher education. A variety of cross-curricular themes, such as literacy feature regularly in our activities and tours.
OPENING TIMES: All year. Monday to Saturday 1000-1700. Closed Sunday, Good Friday and between
Christmas and New Year.
SUGGESTED LENGTH OF VISIT: 1 to 1.5 hours.
EDUCATIONAL VISIT FACILITIES:
Free preliminary visit for teacher, teacher and pupil resource packs, classroom/study area, guided tours, indoor eating area available.
