Set within a fine framework of mature trees, the Cambridge University Botanic Garden holds a treasure trove of some 8000 plant species. This historic landscape features the Rock Garden, representing the alpine plants; the Winter and Dry Gardens; a tropical rainforest and seasonal displays in the glasshouses. There is also a lake teeming with birdlife, and the unique systematic beds, representing more than 80 families of flowering plants. The garden also boasts many important plant collections including lavenders, hardy geraniums, British wild plants and a fine collection of trees.

By Road:
The garden can be easily reached by using Trumpington Road park and ride at jct 11 off the M11. Alight from the bus at the Bateman Street stop, cross the road and walk up Bateman Street for 200m. The entrance is on the right.
