In a quiet location personally run by the resident proprietors Jill and Paul with their staff. Its prime location within Clacton gives easy access to the local attractions and amenities, just 100yds from the Promenade Gardens, pier and award-winning sandy beaches. 200yds to shops. All rooms have a remote TV, tea/coffee making facilities, radio alarms, hair dryers and en suite showers or bathrooms. All rooms have colour coordinated furnishings with fully fitted carpets. A relaxing luxury guest lounge is available with wide screen TV. The smart dining room with individual tables serves a freshly cooked full English Breakfast with a range of options and choices for vegetarians, plus a licensed bar. We have a Red Diamond rating with the AA which puts us in the top 10% of all English Three Diamond AA rated Guest Houses. The property is of late Victorian architecture sympathetically converted 35 years ago to a hotel. The property has a wide central staircase with 2 handrails giving easy access to all rooms. We have a ground floor room; early booking is advised for this popular room during peak times. We also have a family room which can sleep 4. By Road:
Heading north up the A12 from the M25 or south from the A14, take the A120 to Harwich. Once on the A120 heading east take the A133 for Clacton-on-Sea. Follow the road signs to the seafront, turning right for a few hundred yds to the pier. We are the 2nd turning after the pier.

By Public Transport:
The mainline railway to Clacton-on-Sea leaves Liverpool Street in London. Once at Clacton station it’s a £4.00 taxi ride to the Sandrock.
