NWT Narborough Railway Line
What to look for: Spring/summer - dingy, grizzled skipper, grayling, brown argus, purple hairstreak and white-letter streak butterfly. Small scabious, eyebright, kidney vetch, large thyme, marjoram, carline thistle and autumn gentian. Autumn/winter - purging buckthorn.
Facilities: Information board.
Directions: NWT Narborough Railway Line is south west of King's Lynn. Turn into Narborough from the A47 and follow the signs to Marham. The nature reserve car park is on the left 1km south of Narborough village.
Access: Enter via the car park at the western end of the nature reserve.
Did you know? - This unique strip of chalk grassland was created when engineers built the M&GN railway embankment in the 19th century, exposing the underlying chalk as they dug a borrow pit and built up the embankment.
