Kentwell Hall and Gardens

Moated Tudor Mansion 'a little great house of magical beauty'. Exterior almost unaltered. Interior retians original Tudor service areas. Elsewhere, alterations reflect the changing tastes of successive families, embellished by that of the present owners. Renowned for its Re-creations of everyday Tudor life and, occasionally of WWII daily life. The present owners' efforts since 1979, to restore the house and recover and extend the once notedgardens, add to any visit's enjoyment.

| Notes | Gardens & Farm Opening: The gardens and farm are open more often than the house. Usually from 11 - 4pm in early spring and 11 - 5pm at other times. On some days, the estate may close earlier than usual for a function. If it is important to visitors that a particular part should be accessible, please check by telephone before visiting. House Opening: The House usually opens one hour after and closes one hour before the advertised opening and closing times for the day. Occasionally, if we have a booking for a wedding, the House may close earlier than at the stated times - please check before your visit to be sure. During the Great Annual Re-Creation, and some other events, only part of the house is used and the rest is closed. |
