You are welcome to wander at will over this grassland field. Under the Countryside Stewardship Scheme the farmer is managing the grassland without chemicals to protect the river and to allow wildflowers to flourish. Hedges are being restored across the farm and are managed in winter to encourage fruit and feeding birds. Access End Date 30.09.2013.

How to get there by car/parking: From the A6 north of Bedford ignore the first sign to Oakley. Take the road to the village signposted by the second sign. Limited on road parking is available. Please park thoughtfully.

Start point: In Oakley, take the Pavenham Road and the access point is just after crossing the River Great Ouse at Stafford Bridge. Start Nat GR TL 005548.
