For over 100 years, the Bittern Line has connected the fine city of Norwich and the seaside towns of Cromer and Sheringham, as the line passes through the Broads National Park and the scenic beauty of North Norfolk
Its name recognises a special, local bird, which has a distinctive booming call. The local railway company operates a regular, almost hourly service along the route (less frequent on Sundays) which has been nationally described as “”one of the most picturesque lines in the country.
An hourly service operates seven days a week and a new fleet of trains will arrive during 2019/20
