This single storey hostel has recently been refurbished to provide comfortable accommodation in what was once the village school. It now offers M2 rated disabled access and has also been awarded a Green Tourism Silver award. We offer a full meals service or guests can make use of our well equipped self catering kitchen. You are welcome to bring your own wine or beer to enjoy with your evening meal. We also have 2 lounges, drying room, secure bicycle store and a field study centre for groups. Accomodation is in 2,4 or 6 bedded bunk rooms. Blaxhall is a small peaceful village 8 miles from the coastal resort of Aldeburgh and the popular boating town of Woodbridge. Located on the edge of the Suffolk Sandlings, an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, with easy walking and flat cycling routes. Close to a number of bird reserves including RSPB Minsmere. Nearby is the internationally famous Sutton Hoo ship burial site as well as the castles at Framlingham and Orford. Snape Maltings just one mile away is the home of the Aldeburgh Music Festival and hosts numerous concerts throughout the year. There are also several shops on site.
