Chestnut Barn | Visit East of England

Chestnut Barn is a converted barn with spacious self-catering holiday accommodation for families or groups of friends situated in North Norfolk. There is a private hot tub in the garden.

The living area in Chestnut Barn is a spacious and has lots of character with exposed beams. The kitchen is fully equipped with a range cooker, double drawer Fisher Pakel dishwasher, spacious fridge freezer and lots of storage. The seating area has three comfortable sofas and additional chairs. There is a SMART television, bluetooth speakers, Alexa and DVD player. The wooden dining table is extendable and comfortably seats large groups.

here are four large bedrooms comfortably sleeping 10 – 12 guests plus cots in four bedrooms.

On the ground floor there is Bedroom 1 with a king size bed, an ensuite bathroom with walk in shower and bath and an external door into the garden. Bedroom 2 is also on the ground floor, with a king size bed, an ensuite shower room with walk in shower and double doors into the garden.

Bedroom 3 is on the first floor, with a king size bed and an ensuite shower room. Bedroom 4 is also on the first floor and is accessed by a separate staircase. There are four single beds in this room and a cosy seating area with TV and DVD player and lots of beanbags.

All the bedrooms are very spacious and there is plenty of storage in all the bedrooms with built in wardrobes. There are two fold out beds and two cots which can be provided to guests. These can be placed in any of the rooms.

Outside there is a large enclosed garden and a gravel parking area for several cars. There is a patio with garden furniture, sand pit, table tennis in the garage, and many outdoor games. A second patio is located in a secluded position and has a hot tub and outdoor seating (nb. there is an additional charge for the use of the hot tub, see prices).

Chestnut Barn is situated within five miles of the coast and is close to three National Trust properties – Blickling Hall, Felbrigg Hall and Sheringham Park. BeWilderwood and the Dinosaur Park are within 15 miles, as are the Norfolk Broads, and Norwich is 18 miles away.

The centre of Aldborough village is within a 5 minute walk from Chestnut Barn. There is the Black Boys public house which serves fantastic locally sourced food, a shop with Post Office, children’s play area and village green. Cricket is often played on the green during the summer months. There are many more pubs and restaurants in the local area and we can provide recommendations.
