The area abounds with numerous opportunities for bird watchers with the RSPB reserve at Titchwell two miles away, which can be reached on foot along the coast path. Boat trips to Scolt Head and sailing are available at Brancaster Staithe. Within the village there is a shop and two pubs which serve food.
