Cranmer Country Cottages | Visit East of England

Cranmer Country Cottages comprises of eight barns and a dog-friendly cottage set in a peaceful rural location, close to the stunning Royal Norfolk Coast; offering family and multi-generational group stays for 2, 4, 6, 8, 10 or 12 + guests. The indoor heated pool is open all year.

The cluster of sensitively converted farm buildings are set in extensive grounds and surrounded by open farmland. All properties are graded 4 & 5-star gold award by Visit England.

The barns retain many of their original features including traditional beams and courtyard setting. The original lofty threshing barn with its double height windows, houses a stunning luxury indoor heated pool which is flooded with light in the mornings; ideal for an invigorating early swim and floodlit for a calm relaxing swim at the end of a fun filled day.

Interiors are bright and comfortable and designed for open-plan family living with a relaxed home from home vibe. The single-story barn conversions each have private outdoor terraces opening out on to a large fenced paddock where families can meet and children gather to play and socialise until the sun goes down in the distant view.

The barns are set in the grounds of our home in an inspiring location close to the beautiful north Norfolk coast; an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and within easy reach of the expansive sandy beaches and pine woods of Holkham bay and Wells-next-the-Sea. The picturesque leafy village of Burnham Market is just ten minutes away, great for some retail therapy followed by lunch with celebrity spotting thrown in. When it comes to exploring the great outdoors there are excellent coastal walks and cycle routes nearby. Other popular places to visit are Walsingham, Brancaster, Sandringham and RSPB Titchwell Marsh, Norfolk Wildlife Trust Cley & Salthouse Marshes, or our local Sculthorpe Moor nature reserve. Alternatively, you can get on the water with canoeing or stand-up paddle boarding and the tidal creeks are great for some wild swimming.

For weekend family gatherings the barns can be booked in cluster groups of 8, 10, 12 & 14. The site is available to be booked exclusively for large group stays with numbers over 20 guests outside of the main holiday season. Larger groups can dine together in either the Green Room alternatively the games room can be set up for group dining if the site has been booked exclusively.

The Barns are all single story, ideal for toddlers and for people with limited mobility. There is ample off- road parking onsite. EV charging available.
