Set amidst rolling countryside, it is a working farm. Upper Somerton is a picturesque village, situated just 20 mins drive from Bury St Edmunds and Sudbury. It is close to the famous and historic towns of Long Melford, Lavenham and Clare; also just 45 mins from horse racing at Newmarket or Thetford Forest and its Centre Parc. Cambridge is within an hours drive and the nearest beach at Southwold only 62 miles. Nearest shop 5 miles and nearest pub 2 miles. The Granary is the larger cottage on 2 floors with original beams from the old Granary, with a conservatory that overlooks a pond and meadow. This cottage has a super king sized four poster bed. Cottage sleeps 2/4. The Cartlodge is the smaller of the 2 cottages, all situated on 1 floor and with the original flint features and a king sized bed. Cottage sleeps 2/4. Service for both properties: OFCH. All fuel, power, bed linen (duvets) and towels included. Parking for 2 cars. TV/Video (small library), DVD player. Stereo/CD player. Electric cooker, dishwasher, microwave, washer/dryer. Small enclosed gardens with patio furniture. Gas BBQ available on request. The 2 properties have the capability of being used as 1 dwelling with a very low interconnecting door between the 2. Please enquire when you book. We regret that both cottages are unsuitable for children under 13 years old. Sorry no pets and no smoking.
