Gardener’s cottage is situated within the ancient walled garden of West Stow Hall.
Newly refurbished in a sympathetic manner, it is ideal accommodation for 4+ 2, with two airy bedrooms – a double and twin – and a bed settee in the sitting room. There is a family-sized bath/shower room.
The spacious sitting/dining room is equipped with Freesat TV, DVD player, docking station/radio, and free Wi-Fi.
A wood burning stove makes this a very cosy and comfortable room. South-facing French doors open onto the garden and the patio with its barbecue, table and chairs.
The large kitchen/breakfast room has an electric cooker, microwave, washing machine and multi-fuel Rayburrn.
West Stow Hall, with its Tudor Gatehouse and colonnaded entrance, is Grade 1 listed and set in six acres of woods, streams, orchards, lawns and gardens. Guests are welcome to explore the grounds at their leisure.
The cottage is an excellent base from which to discover both Suffolk and Norfolk. Public footpaths and bridleways enable walkers and cyclists to enjoy the King’s Forest and the beautiful countryside around the village of West Stow, which is noted for its Country Park and Anglo-Saxon village.
Shops, pubs and other services are a short drive away. Historic Bury St Edmunds is just 10 minutes drive, while Lavenham, the Heritage Coast, Aldeburgh and Southwold make easy day trips.
