Norfolk Coastal Cottages with mYminiBreak
Family-Friendly, Dog-Friendly Cottages by a West-Facing Beach
Norfolk Coastal Cottages with mYminiBreak offers relaxed, homely seaside stays just a short walk from one of the East Anglian rare west-facing beaches, where you can watch the sun sink directly into the sea. Set on the beautiful North Norfolk coast, our cottages are perfect for families, couples, and friends looking for a coastal break with space to unwind, sandy beaches to explore, and sunsets you’ll never forget.
Choose between The Old Barn, a cosy 2-bedroom cottage with open-plan living, and The Dairy, a spacious 3-bedroom cottage with partial sea views and an enclosed garden – both dog-friendly and within easy reach of the beach, local walks, and family attractions.

The Old Barn – Cosy 2-Bedroom Cottage
The Old Barn is a welcoming 2-bedroom cottage designed for easy, sociable living – ideal for couples, small families, or friends who want a comfortable base by the sea.
Inside, you’ll find an open-plan living area that brings everyone together:
Light, open-plan lounge, dining, and kitchen space
Comfortable seating area for movie nights and lazy mornings
Well-equipped kitchen for simple suppers and hearty breakfasts
Dining table perfect for family meals, board games, or planning your adventures
The two bedrooms offer a snug, homely feel, making it a relaxing place to retreat at the end of the day after long beach walks or exploring the Norfolk coast.
Shared patio with outdoor seating
Ideal for morning coffee in the fresh sea air
A relaxed space to sit with a glass of wine as the sky glows at sunset
The Old Barn gives you the charm of a coastal cottage with the convenience of open-plan living – everything you need for a simple, comfortable seaside break.

The Dairy – Spacious 3-Bedroom Cottage with Garden, Fire & BBQ
The Dairy is a larger, 3-bedroom cottage – ideal for families or groups looking for more space, outdoor living, and a touch of sea view.
Inside, you’ll find:
Three comfortable bedrooms, perfect for families or friends
Relaxed living area for evenings in after busy days out
A practical, well-equipped kitchen for family meals
The highlight of The Dairy is the outdoor space:
Enclosed private garden – perfect for children and dogs to play safely
Fire pit for cosy evenings under the stars
BBQ for easy alfresco dinners on warm days
Partial sea view – a gentle reminder that the beach is never far away
The Dairy gives you the best of both worlds: a comfortable home-from-home inside, and a sheltered outdoor space where you can linger late into the evening, warmed by the fire, listening to the sounds of the coast.

West-Facing Beach & Sunset Views
One of the most special things about staying with Norfolk Coastal Cottages is the west-facing coastline. Unlike much of the UK, here you can:
Watch the sun set over the sea, painting the sky in golds, pinks, and deep oranges
Enjoy long evening walks along the sand as the light fades and the tide shifts
Sit with a drink on the beach or back at your cottage as the last light dips below the horizon
It’s a magical experience that changes every night – no two sunsets are ever the same, and many guests say it’s the highlight of their stay.

Dog-Friendly Coastal Cottages
Both The Old Barn and The Dairy are dog-friendly, so your four-legged family members don’t have to miss out on the fun.
Dogs are welcome in both cottages
Enclosed garden at The Dairy – ideal for dogs who like to potter outside
Easy access to dog-friendly beach walks and coastal paths
The local area is very welcoming to dogs:
Many nearby beaches allow dogs year-round or with minimal restrictions
Dog-friendly pubs and cafés where you can sit inside or out with your pup
Coastal and countryside walks right from the door or a short drive away
Whether it’s a wintery stomp along the sand or a summer paddle in the shallows, this stretch of Norfolk coast is a dream for dogs and their humans.

Wild Ken Hill, Sunsets over the Sea & West Norfolk Life
Located just 3 miles outside Hunstanton, the charming coastal village of Heacham sits on one of the most unique stretches of shoreline in the country – the west coast of the east coast. This is the only area within roughly 1.5 hours’ drive of London where you can watch the sun set directly over the sea, creating unforgettable evenings of glowing skies and wide, open horizons.
Heacham is a quaint, welcoming village with everything you need for a relaxing break. You’ll find three friendly pubs, two traditional fish and chip shops, an Indian restaurant, and two cosy coffee shops – perfect for lazy mornings, casual lunches, or an evening drink after a day exploring.
We neighbour the renowned Wild Ken Hill, a pioneering rewilding and regenerative farming project featured on popular nature programs. Its diverse landscapes of woodland, heath and marshland attract an incredible variety of wildlife, making this area a dream for nature lovers, walkers, and photographers.

Heacham sits directly on the Norfolk Coast Path, along what’s often called the Royal Coastline. From here, you can follow the scenic coastal trails all the way to Hunstanton in one direction or towards the Sandringham Estate in the other, passing salt marshes, wide sandy beaches, and big open skies along the way. The popular Heacham Circular Walk also starts and finishes in the village, giving you an easy way to explore the coastline, countryside, and local history on foot.
Whether you’re here for coastal walks, royal connections, wildlife at Wild Ken Hill, or simply to enjoy a peaceful village with spectacular sea sunsets, Heacham is the perfect base on the Norfolk coast.
