Briston village is located in the centre of North Norfolk, and provides a great base for exploring the coast and countryside as well as easy access to Norwich and the Norfolk Broads. The village has two pubs within walking distance, as well as an award-winning butchers shop, bakery, greengrocer’s and convenience store. Oaktree cottage is located on the edge of the village, overlooking fields.
Oaktree Cottage is a 200 year-old traditional brick and flint cottage, which has been sympathetically modernised and extended over the years, and now provides comfortable and cosy accommodation for four. With original oak beams, combined with a well-equipped farmhouse kitchen/diner, the cottage provides a perfect mix of the traditional and modern.
The accommodation is comprised of:
Downstairs: Lounge with oak beams, comfortable sofas, LCD TV with Freesat HD and surround-sound, CD/DVD player with FM radio and MP3 connection, wood-burning stove, and a small library of books and games. Kitchen with dishwasher, oven, hob, fridge, microwave, dining table, and Welsh dresser, telephone with honesty box. Utility room with freezer, washer/dryer, and downstairs w/c.
Upstairs: Main bedroom with king-size bed, fitted wardrobes, pine drawers and bedside lockers. Second bedroom with twin beds, pines drawers, wardrobe, and bedside locker. Bathroom with wash basin, bath and power-shower over. Separate upstairs w/c with wash basin.
Outside: Small enclosed garden with summer house (patio furniture provided), brick and flint shed for secure cycle storage, and patio area.
Parking: Ample parking for two cars in the drive.
Heating: Central heating throughout (included in rental rate), plus wood-burning stove in the lounge.
Other: Egyptian cotton bedding, towels, heating, electricity, and Wi-Fi Internet access included in the rate.
