Orchard Cottage is an attractive Norfolk flint building situated in the historic village of Gressenhall near Dereham. The comfortable, country-style bedrooms are smartly decorated and situated on the ground floor with disabled access; one of the rooms has a superb wet room. Public rooms include a lounge and dining room.
Come and relax and enjoy the facilities. Bedrooms are ensuite with Freeview TV, tea and coffee making facilities and WIFI access. In the dining room enjoy our full English Breakfast or Continental option if you prefer. We use local produce where possible. Special dietary needs can be offered by prior arrangement.
Situated at the centre of Norfolk and ideally located to explore the county by car, bike or walking. Cycle Route 13 and the Nar Valley Way both pass through the village.
The North Norfolk coast is a 30 minute drive, the Norfolk Broads, Norwich and Kings Lynn are all easily accessible from Orchard Cottage, as are the University of East Anglia (UEA), National Trust’s Blickling Hall, Felbrigg Hall and Oxburgh Hall.
Other Stately Homes include Holkham Hall, Houghton Hall & Gardens and The Royal Estate at Sandringham. In Walsingham there are the Catholic and Anglian Shrines, or go to Thursford for the Thursford Collection and the famous Thursford Christmas Spectacular. Fakenham Racecourse is 7 miles away.
Mid-Norfolk Railway is close by in Dereham, and Bures Valley Railway and North Norfolk Railway are not too far away.
Gressenhall Workhouse and Museum of Norfolk Life is in the village and well worth a visit.
