The bedrooms, up higgledy-piggledy stairs, have feather duvets and pretty covers, green views and a huge bathroom; the second room with a sloping ceiling is simpler. Breakfast is a relaxed, do-it-yourself affair on the mini stove: eggs, bacon, cereals, breads and jams, all locally sourced and eaten in the guest dining room. The north Norfolk beaches are close and there are historic homes to visit. Birdwatchers, walkers and cyclists will be happy as Larry.
