Wenhaston is a pretty village located off the A12 near the market town of Halesworth and surrounded by open countryside and heaths. Southwold’s sandy beaches, pier and other facilities (including Adnams brewery) are within easy reach as are Dunwich, Walberswick and the RSPB reserve at Minsmere. Aldeburgh and the concert hall at Snape Maltings are a short drive away. There are several golf courses and two riding stables in the area and two pubs within walking distance. Trains run to Ipswich and London from Halesworth and there is a bus service through the village.
As well providing a good base for a beach holiday, the area is popular with birdwatchers, cyclists and walkers and a visit to Woottens nursery is a must for the keen gardener.
