Very conveniently located cottage, close to shops, train line & A14, in a quiet garden setting.
The Apple Store
Set in the grounds of a 300 year old house, this is a very recent conversion of an old apple store. The stylish ground-floor accommodation has high sloping ceilings, under floor heating and comprises a double bedroom that sleeps 2 people (bed linen provided), a shower room (towels provided), and a fully fitted kitchen. The spacious lounge has French windows overlooking the garden, which has a natural pond and fruit trees. Because of our rural location, our water comes from a natural spring. We have some dogs that live outside, which is why we prefer no other pets. To retain the high quality of our decor, we stipulate no smoking.
Upon arrival, you will receive a bottle of wine from a local vineyard. There are a wide variety of village pubs for you to sample, most serving food, and excellent restaurants and cafes in Bury St Edmunds. Local vineyards, farmer’s markets and antiques shops will add real colour to your stay. The village grocery stores, pub serving food and 2 takeaways mean that you can decide what to eat when you arrive, so that you won’t need to plan too much in advance. And all are only 2 minutes walk away. The grocery store is open 7 days a week, well into the evening, and has a cash point.
