The Georgian, Black Lion Hotel is a famous landmark in the historical town of Long Melford. It has been refurbished to combine the best in homely comforts with the finery of modern dining. Both our cosy bar and contemporary style restaurant with their open fires offer a range of innovative dishes at lunchtime and in the evening The restaurant has antique furnishings and French doors opening onto a Victorian walled garden for al fresco dining when the weather permits! We serve the best seasonal and local ingredients by one of East Anglia’s rising chefs. The en suite bedrooms are light and airy, all are individually furnished and we offer 4-poster beds in 3 rooms. The Sancerre suite is ideal for honeymoons and the Chianti room perfect for families, 1 double room with a separate room with bunk beds.
