Description

The Dove Restaurant is Country French in style, which means we prepare dishes from quality ingredients in an unpretentious manner. We hope our restaurant & Bed and breakfast is welcoming and has a warm and hospitable atmosphere, which is genuine.

Conny and Robert established themselves at the Dove in 2000, but it has been in the Oberhoffer family since 1980.Robert is the fifth generation of chef in the Oberhoffer family. His son Philip (16) is also an able chef and was second in the Springboard National Future Chef Competition 2007 out of 7039 entries and he finished in the top ten in 2008. Philip would be the sixth generation of chef in the family.

All our meats are top quality and all produce is traceable, our fish come from local supplies and some of our produce is home grown. All dishes are prepared and made on the premises, which includes the homemade breads. Our wines come from smaller growers who make unique and interesting wines to compliment our food. Since 2000 Robert has slowly changed and improved the menu to encompass modern styles and service. We have two AA rosette and four stars for our Bed and breakfast.
