Our location couldn’t be better to visit Suffolk’s beautiful and unspoilt countryside. We are within reach of London by train in just over an hour from Ipswich station, and enjoy excellent road links via the A14 and A12. For local shopping Woodbridge, with its farmer’s market is just 5 minutes drive away, and the regional shopping centres of Cambridge and Norwich are within an hour or so by train or car.

Enjoy staying in our friendly village community, set in an area of Special Landscape, and which offers great walks, an 18 hole golf course, and an easy drive to the coast.

Elsewhere, Aldeburgh, Thorpeness and Southwold are lovely seaside towns to enjoy afternoon tea and a bracing stroll along the beach. Browse at leisure the antiques and crafts at Snape Maltings, whilst you wait for your concert during the Festival months of July and August. Visit the amazing reconstruction of King Raedwald’s longship, at the Sutton Hoo National Trust.

For golf lovers, Woodbridge and Ipswich golf clubs are amongst the most challenging and well kept Heath courses in the country. For sailors, the River Deben has sailing clubs at Waldringfield and Woodbridge.

The large and vaulted ceiling bedroom at ground floor level for easy access has been recently converted into a self contained annex with its own shower room en-suite, off Leah Hinks’ studio. Leah is a well known ceramic artist who produces wonderful jewellery and pots, as well as plates, pictures and candlesticks. Off road, private parking is right outside.

We offer an all inclusive light breakfast with orange juice, fresh fruit, homemade granola and yoghurt, boiled eggs from our own hens, locally sourced breads and croissants, together with homemade jams and marmalade, along with tea and coffee.
