Description

The Neptune Inn & Restaurant’s owners Paul & Hilary Berriff with their Head Chef Jon Cleland have given this charming 19th Century coaching inn an new look. The Neptune, built in the 1830s, now resembles its counterparts on the New England coast of Maine – warm and friendly with that extra touch of quality. Walking in through the front door you can almost smell the cinnamon in the apple pies. The mellow brown tones and white clapboard walls, replica boats and dramatic black and white photographs bring that North American coastal charm to North Norfolk. The Lloyd Loom sofas and chairs add to the relaxed ambience in the bar, lounge and restaurant. The bedrooms too with their white furniture create a stylish tranquility. The food is all lovingly created like works of art from fresh local produce. It’s worth a visit not only for lunch or dinner but that special weekend treat – Sunday Brunch … and the only thing missing is the lighthouse!
