The Oaks offers a highly personalised service in an inviting home in a half-acre tranquil garden.Catering for just one couple means guests don’t need to worry about social distancing, and can relax in their own suite of rooms.
Formerly the infirmary to the old Swaffham workhouse, The Oaks is now a comfortable and inviting family home set in half an acre of tranquil gardens. It is ideally situated for exploring the wonderful North Norfolk coast, and The Fen country. The beautiful university city of Cambridge, and the magnificent Ely cathedral, are both less than an hour away.
It offers a highly personalised service to guests. In accommodating just one couple at a time, guests have no need to worry about social distancing. Instead, they can relax in their suite of rooms, in a home-from-home. The bedroom has a kingsize bed, and tea and coffee making facilities. The private bathroom, directly opposite, features a large roll top bath, and a double shower. This section of the house is totally private to enable guests to access the bathroom from the bedroom in total privacy. Guests also have the sole use of a dining/sitting room which overlooks the garden. It has a television with DVD player, together with a wide selection of DVDS, so they can hunker down for a comfortable night in if they’re not in the mood to venture out.
Guests are free to enjoy the garden, and may choose to have breakfast outside if the weather permits.
The Oaks is also the environmentally friendly choice of accommodation. An air source heat pump, solar panels and battery storage make the house carbon neutral for a good proportion of the year. All produce is seasonally, and locally sourced wherever possible.
Smoking is not permitted within the house.
Unlimited wifi is provided.
