Description

Dunwich with its intriguing past, which is revealed in the local museum (two doors from the house), is a unique, quiet, idyllic village, surrounded by nature reserves, heathland and beach offering peace and tranquillity. There are also the remains of a leper chapel by the church and a monastery. The beach is shingle but at low tide it is partly sandy. There are many scenic pathways across the heath to the coastguard cottages and national trust tearooms. Amongst the numerous trails leading from Dunwich is one to Walberswick and on to Southwold via the ferry or bridge. The whole of the heritage coast offers excellent walking and stunning beaches to explore.

The Old Post Office is a grade II listed building filled with character. It is ideally located in Dunwich with the beach, footpaths and a pub very close by.
