WELCOME TO THE SIX BELLS – We would like to invite you to step out of the hustle & bustle of your busy world and relax awhile in our peaceful and charming Inn. Originating in the late 1500’s, the Inn has enlarged in the 19thC and more recently by us, and now offers a characterful blend of old and new. It may be of interest to know that the Inn and surrounding areas were used in the filming of the TV series Dad’s Army and a photograph of the cast is displayed in the bar. We offer all the delights of a country inn excellent food & drink in a hospitable atmosphere. Choose from the wide selection of traditional or contemporary dishes produced daily from fresh local produce. Meals are served in our country-style beamed dining room with its old Suffolk range and in our pretty conservatory or more informally in the bar. Next to the inn, our old barn and stables have been converted into ten comfortable cottage-style bedrooms. Each is individually colour-co-ordinated with solid pine furniture and en suite shower room. Situated on the ground floor they offer you a quiet and charming retreat with lovely views over the East Anglian countryside or gardens. For the business person there is a writing desk and good lighting. The Six Bells is located in the heart of East Anglia and is an ideal location from which to explore the many attractions of the region. Totally surrounded by countryside, the inn offers total peace & tranquillity yet with to the A11 and A14 it is a surprisingly easy drive from London and the Midlands. Dinner, Bed & Breakfast breaks are available all year round (except Christmas) based on two people sharing, from £37.00 per person per night.
