The Treasury

The Treasury is a cosy self contained cottage which makes the perfect retreat for two people.

The Treasury was historically the building in which the money was kept and where Lord Walpole and his butler kept the accounts and cash. It was designed by Thomas Ripley and forms the south side of the entrance lodges and is also listed grade II*. On the ground floor, it has 4 rooms and large south facing private garden with views over the horse-pond.

It is furnished with the luxurious use of period furniture, Persian carpets, tapestries and contemporary and traditional paintings.

We offer all our guests a unique opportunity to view the main Hall during their stay.

Accommodation for up to 2 guests. Prices from £587 for a three night stay.

The Treasury was selected by the Times newspaper for one of the top 50 best holiday homes in the UK read the full article here
