The White Horse
The White Horse Inn is gloriously situated on the marshland coastline of North Norfolk at Brancaster Staithe, an area of outstanding natural beauty, with its big blue skies, spectacular sunsets and salty sea air. The coastline is a magical area to explore with breath-taking panoramic views across tidal marshes and endless sandy beaches.
Award-winning restaurant makes the most of shellfish from our village fisherman. Sun-soaked conservagtory restaurant and terrace overlook the lobster pots, oyster beds and saltmarshes out to Scolt Head Island and the sea beyond. 15 cool and comfortable bedrooms you can call home for your stay, garden bedrooms have their own terraces just yards from the coastal path and our ‘Room at the Top’ offers spectacular views unrivalled on the coast with its own viewing telescope.
This is a special spot to be enjoyed all year around with each season bringing new elements of the coast into life. We serve drinks outside all year around with heaters and baskets of blankets to hand for chillier evenings. During the summer we host special events at the edge of the marsh such as gin cocktail evenings and lobster BBQs. Throughout the winter you will be welcomed by roaring fires and steaming bowls of mussels.
The area is ideal for walkers, sailors, golfers, cyclists, paddle boarders, kayakers, birdwatchers and dog owners as well as holidaymakers and families. Pop into the bar for a drink with the locals to hear the news of the coast over a drink and a bar snack or join us to dine in the restaurant.
