The White Horse Holiday Cottages | Visit East of England

Situated in the picturesque Box Valley with footpaths from the doorstep, it is ideally placed for exploring the rolling countryside made famous by John Constable. Within a few miles are the historic wool villages of Kersey, Lavenham and Long Melford with their magnificent churches and ancient houses. With origins dating from the 16thC the White Horse offers a choice of Suffolk real ales, locally made organic cider and a selection of pub meals. Located in a field to the rear of the White Horse the 2 cottages were built in 2002 of Scandinavian type wooden construction. On the ground floor each cottage comprises a living room with easy chairs, dining table and chairs, TV and radio, video and CD player. A kitchen with full size cooker, microwave, fridge/freezer and a washing machine. The shower room with WC and wash basin is of a ‘wet room’ style. Larch Cottage has 2 bedrooms upstairs, 1 with a full size bunk bed and 1 with a double bed and can sleep up to 4 people. Spruce Cottage has 1 gallery style bedroom upstairs with 2 single beds and a single futon and can sleep up to 3 people. – Opposite the Millennium Green and Children’s play area – Close to Suffolk Wildlife Trust and RSPB Reserves – On the South Suffolk cycle route – Two miles from attractive village of Boxford with a Butcher. Post Office, General Store, Newsagents, Garage and 2 village Inns.
