We are next to the walking and cycle routes of Marriott’s Way and Weaver’s Way that will take you safely into the wonderful countryside and on to the coast. There are plenty of opportunities for sightseeing, from beautiful nature reserves and bird watching to a number of National Trust properties including Blickling Hall and Felbrigg Hall, both on Aylsham’s doorstep.

The popular market town of Holt leads visitors onto the coastal destinations of Salthouse, Cley, Blakeney, Morston and Stiffkey – all within 25-40 minutes drive. A little further afield there are the fabulous beaches at Holkham and Wells-next-the-Sea. Holkham Hall and Houghton Hall are also well worth a visit. Both are private houses with outstanding architectural pedigree set in beautiful parklands and host special events throughout the summer months.

Head east from Aylsham, for 15-20 minutes towards Wroxham and you are in the centre of the Norfolk Broads, with tranquil waterways and the unspoilt sandy beaches of the east coast, north of Great Yarmouth.
