Welcome to Well Cottage Country Accommodation. We have 2 private guest rooms (both with ensuite bathrooms + toiletries provided). Tea, coffee and milk are supplied in the room and a continental buffet style breakfast is included in the price. Guests are free to use the dining area throughout their stay. The bedrooms are located in the main house but we use a separate entrance. And the main part of the house is also separated from the guest rooms by a corridor, so you won’t be disturbed. There is plenty of onsite parking and free wifi. We have 1.2 acres of garden space to use + free range hens. 15 minute drive to the centre of Bury St Edmunds and there is also a bus stop right outside the front door
I have a keen interest in gardening, chicken keeping, meditation, wild swimming and psychology. I am a qualified therapist and also work for the NHS. My partner Dean is passionate about Brazilian Jiu Jitsu and works as Security Consultant. We are fortunate enough to live in a beautiful part of the country surrounded by stunning walks and lots of nature. Our garden and small flock of chickens are a source of great joy and we look forward to sharing them with you. We will also be adding a private log cabin to our listings shortly. Watch this space for more chickens, peacocks, dogs and alpacas!!
The cottage is set in a peaceful village and has a large garden which is free for guests to make use of. There is a footpath running alongside the garden which leads to open fields. We are in the perfect location for exploring Suffolk by car or bus. There are also plenty of locals walks and cycle routes. Our cottage is located within 10 minutes of Bury St Edmunds and there are plenty of things to see and do in the surrounding areas. Bury offers beautiful medieval buildings, plenty of restaurants, public gardens and a cathedral. We are within easy reach of Cambridge, Newmarket and Thetford.
