Willow Barn is in Troston a small village 6 miles from Bury St Edmunds.

It is a luxury, detached, self-catered accommodation for 2 people, in a peaceful location with amazing countryside views. You are surround by nature and have plenty of wildlife to spot and you’ll get the most amazing sunrises & sunsets, as well as being perfect for star gazing.

Guests have an impressive 91 square metres to enjoy all to themselves. A comfortable king-size bed and a freestanding bath awaits in the bedroom. The breakfast room is well equipped and also has a cocktail trolley and record player!
With a small garden to the front of the property and a private seating area at the rear over looking meadows & fields.

Willow Barn sits opposite Willow House a Victorian house built in the late 19th century as a gamekeeper’s cottage for the Troston Hall Estate.

Our local award-winning village pub is a 10 minute walk up the lane with good food & beer!

Troston is a village full of character and picturesque settings with many buildings dating back to the 1800s and St Mary’s Church is a Grade 1 listed building. There are a number of great walks around the village – one of the walks takes you around the ‘old ways of Troston’.

You can easily explore the beautiful, historical town of Bury St Edmunds, with its spectacular Cathedral, the Abbey Ruins and the Abbey Gardens, all next to each other in the centre of town.

The Thetford Forest is less than a 20 min drive and the pretty villages of Lavenham, Cavendish, Clare & Long Melford are about 30 mins away. Nearby Newmarket is the heart of horse-racing and is less than 30 mins away.

Willow Barn is ideal for a romantic getaway, cycling/walking and for exploring everything Suffolk has to offer.

A warm welcome awaits!
