Adnams Copper House

Our distillery, the Copper House, sits within the Adnams brewery in Southwold. It’s one of the most water and energy-efficient distilleries in the UK and also generates water and steam for the brewery, forming an integral part of our overall sustainable production system.

Adnams was the first brewery / distillery (a bristillery?!) in England able to produce high quality spirits directly from malted grains all the way through to the finished product. (A law was challenged that prevented brewers from having a distillery on the same premises). We use the same local ingredients to make our spirits – barley, rye, wheat and oats – as we do for our beers.

There is no private parking at our head office, but you should be able to find on-street parking nearby.For the sailors amongst you, tack into Southwold Harbour and walk across the common keeping Southwold lighthouse in sight.
