Round towered, Grade II* listed, building with a warm welcome for all
Imaginatively restored in Victorian times the church is neat, small and interesting. In part the church owes its restoration to the Walpole family and Walpole memorials are everywhere. The Walpole Family chapel/pew is in to the north of the chancel. It has its own fire place and comfy chairs! The round tower is massive – looking much as if it has been transplanted from a castle. It has a conical, tiled, roof that sits a top like a fine lady’s hat.
