Leman House is a Grade 1 listed building, the museum houses a range of exhibits relating to Beccles, its surrounding villages and countryside, their industries, social life, health care and wildlife.

It has distinctive flint and brick work, Tudor-style window and a pantile roof. The museum houses items concerning printing, Waveney, agricultural, cultural and domestic items. There is also a model of the town in 1841, a natural history diorama of the riverbank, discovery boxes for children’s use and archival video film of past local industries. At least two temporary displays are mounted each year, featuring local industries and local villages.
