The Raymond family have lived in Belchamp Hall since 1611, although the present Queen Anne house was not built until 1720. A direct succession of immediate family has lived in the house until the present day.

The Hall enjoys the benefit of being secluded and tucked away in the North Essex countryside, but at the same time has the advantage of good access from most directions, most notably London and Cambridge.

The BBC TV hit ‘Lovejoy’ featured many different locations across Suffolk & Essex. Belchamp Hall appeared regularly in the programme as the fictional Felsham Hall.
