Explore the gardens, tour the hall, get lost for a while in the maze and then reward yourselves with the home made delights of our new Kitchen Garden Restaurant and gift shop.

Somerleyton Hall is an early Victorian stately mansion built in Anglo-Italian style with lavish architectural features, magnificent carved stonework and fine state rooms. Paintings by Landseer, Wright of Derby and Stanfield. Wood carvings by Wilcox of Warwick and Grinling Gibbons. The justly renowned 12-acre gardens feature an 1846 yew hedge maze, glasshouses by Paxton, fine statuary, pergola and walled garden. Vulliamy tower clock, specimen trees and borders.

Opening Times

The Hall and Gardens are open daily from 10am-5pm Tuesdays, Thursdays, Sundays & Bank Holidays. (Open Wednesdays for Garden’s only in July & August – no Hall tours).
